Tar Hollow May 17-19
The Camporee Deadline is Coming! The 49th annual weekend in Tar Hollow State Park family camp will take place May 17-19. Please go to the April newsletter or to YSTarHollow@gmail.com to fill out your registration form today!
The Tar Hollow Bus will roll again and everyone is invited to ride! The bus will depart Yellow Springs late afternoon on Friday, May 17, with a dinner stop in Washington Courthouse. On Sunday, bus riders will leave Tar Hollow mid afternoon after the camp is clean. The cost is a suggested donation of $10 each way ($20 round trip). There are only 36-40 seats, so if you would like to reserve one, email Corrie Van Ausdal at YSTarHollow@gmail.com

Garage Sale
Yes, the UUF Will Hold a Garage Sale This Year! The date is July 12-13 and the first meeting to organize it will be Sunday, May 12. Teresa Kinter-Buford has volunteered to run the sale and she is asking for your comments and advice, so please plan to attend! Also, please save your sellable items for July and ignore the Yellow Springs clean-up week starting May 6. (LOL.)

Volunteers Needed:
- Volunteers to run the sound system. See Greg Treadwell.
- A volunteer to coordinate the lunch and snack service in the gallery – tablecloths, extension cords, sign-up sheets, cutting cakes, etc. See Judy Williams.
- We are hiring one or two teachers for the religious education program – but we need volunteers to be the second adult in the class. We use a curriculum from UUA so teachers have a framework to follow. See Joan Chappell or Joanne Hauser.
- Volunteers to set up chairs for Sunday services. Contact Bobbi Treadwell.

Want to Learn More About UUism?
The annual UUA General Assembly will be held in Louisville, Kentucky, June 19 – 23. We can drive there!! This is a great opportunity to meet UU’s from across the nation, learn a lot, and be inspired. There are special workshops for youth and we are trying to obtain scholarships for them. You will get free registration if you volunteer to work there. The energy level of these five days is extraordinary! Contact the office to find out about registration or go to UUA.org – the earlier you sign up, the less it costs. Let’s have a large group attending! We can carpool and share hotel rooms.
